Cub Scouts & Popcorn

Ok so my little monkey man {not so little anymore at almost 9 years old, this kid is growing like a weed!!} has decided to join Cub Scouts this year and we are beyond excited for him that he has found something that he really enjoys.

Well guess what comes with part of being a Cub Scout?

That's right....POPCORN SALES!!

So who am I to say no to a little healthy competition right? He's pretty excited and has a goal set already!

Here is one of the awesome things about it:

"Scouts who sell at least $2,500 (online, face-to-face or combination) in any calendar year receive 6% of their total sales invested in their own college scholarship account. That is $0.06 of every dollar they sell!

Once Scouts are enrolled, 6% of their sales each year will be added to their account. Scouts only have to hit the $2,500 minimum one time. Online sales count!"

Guess what his goal is? Yep $2,500 and beyond!!

And so mommy is here at 10:19 at night writing a blog and posting on Facebook about it. I don't want to be a spammy blogger, or an over zealous mommy blogger but I certainly want to support my little man in something he is oh so excited about.
