J'adore Books

I had one of my other junker friends call me the other day...."Hey, I've got a ton of free stuff if you're interested."

OF COURSE I am interested!

I brought home several bags of vintage books that had seen better days, unsure of my exact plans for them.
Then I saw this:

♥ J'adore!! ♥

If you've got a minute, visit her blog if you haven't already. Such beautiful and inspiring things!

So with this as inspiration I took the plunge, ripped the already falling apart covers off and pulled out my box of goodies to decorate.

{These will all be for sale in my booth at Horton's July 8th and 9th}
This one has got to be my favorite of all the ones I made.

  14. They look great, I have some books ready to do that to but haven't quite been game, seems sacrilege to rip apart a book.

  16. Hi Nicki! Darling books, girlie! I nabbed some old books from GW, ripped off the covers, tied them up with some twine....and I was in love! Now I've got them all over my house, and am selling them at my friend's antique shop, too! :)
    Gotta love those old books, huh??? :)

  18. OH OH OH! I just finished ripping covers off a few books and spray painting them randomly but I wanted to do something 'else' with them. I LOVE how you stamped on the the books and added the tags -- so 'borrowing' your ideas! Thanks for posting!!
