Lavender

It's my current favorite obsession.


Most recently I bought a pound for crafting sachets.

 But today it occurred to me that I might want to try baking with it!

I bought organic raw sugar from Trader Joes (the price was great)I plan to make some lavender sugar.

 I was also thinking about lavender honey.....YUM♥

    Great post, Nicki! I love lavender!! I use lavender bath salts and I swear I'm falling asleep before I can dry off!! also use vanilla lavender spray on my bed linens. Can't say I've ever tried any recipes..but think they look yummy!!

    Blog looks gorgeous...keep up the awesome posts!

    I've made lavender linen spray and love it. Lavender is one of my faves. I've also made lavender shortbread cookies. yum!

    I'm a huge fan of lavender myself. The essential oil is useful for so many things that I never want to be without it. There is a restaurant in Brown County that serves lavender lemonade. It's really yummy.

    Those look so great! I love lavender. A couple of years ago we visited a lavender farm and then came home and made lavender lemonade: http://6dukes.blogspot.com/2008/06/101-things-eat-flower-45.html. It was delicious - such a fun, delicate flavor!

    I've also found tons of great lavender bath and body recipes online, and you can get a decent sized bottle of organic essential oil at Whole Foods for a reasonable price (though all essential oils are pricey).
