Browsing Craigslist today as usual for an armoire. I don't have much money to spend but at the same time I am gosh darned picky! I've been looking for a specific shape. Then I saw this beauty listed for only $75!!! I am supposed to pick it up this evening. I will of course be painting it. Can't help myself......But I also want to add some glass panels possibly and new knobs definitely. It's solid wood and the price is low because the inside of the door has a couple of chips. Big deal, right! For that price, it's nothing a little wood putty and paint won't fix!!
Then I saw this listed on CL too!! Estate Sale

What did we ever do before craigslist? I'm with ya on the painting thing! My hubby always says God forbid we should have something wood finish in the house! Can't wait to see it all done! Traci
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! I keep seeing beautiful things on freesaver and then I remember that I'd have to get them up four flights of stairs, and I may be moving countries in the next six months.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bargain! I love the detail on it.I too am looking for one for my lounge room. Am looking forward to seeing it painted! take care, Maryann

Hmm, I don't shop Craig's List but I think I might have to start! Don't people put dents and chips in furniture now a days to make them LOOK old? An estate sale....I can't wait to see the pics.
