Mail Sorter


I'm supposed to be resting........so I broke out the paints and a mail sorter (Goodwill Outlet, under $1 purchase) that had cute form but ugly paint. I was going to put some water slide decals (Frenchy stuff) on it when I was done, but it turned out so pretty I couldn't bare to add anything more. Sometimes keeping it simple really is the best way to go. First I painted it a light grey, then I painted it pink, then lightly sanded the edges for a distressed look and lastly added a clear seal coat. I loooove it! I was VERY tempted to keep it, but I am clearing out things for the new year so up on Etsy it got listed.



This was the "Before" Not the worst....but not the best either!!

    Very pretty "after." Great job! I had to read your post twice before it hit me that "water slide decals" did not mean decals of waterslides. At first I thought to myself, "Yeah, good choice Nicki on foregoing the waterslide decals." (lol)

    I want one like this since i dont have anything right now.. well i do, i bought something at goodwill but i need to paint it and its been way too cold here to do that, so itll have to wait til spring!
