Oh Lucky Day!

Have you ever started a project of re-doing something you already love but are pretty sure you can make better and you really start to worry because if it doesn't turn out right then you have ruined it?

That was me this morning!

I had this great old cherub lamp with fringe shade, but no place to put it in the house. It was a bit too tall and distracting no matter where I put it. I initially just started to paint it....but by the time I was done and started adding crystals, the thought to turn it into a candle holder hit me.

Cutting the cord was the hard part. I was sooo worried if I didn't like it I would have to re-wire the thing and that can be a royal pain especially with such a tall lamp.

But I am extremely thrilled to report that it turned out a fabulous piece. Just the right amount of Shabby Chic-ness to my bedroom.

Which by the way I am still in the middle of re-doing the bedroom and hope to have some before and after pictures for you soon. Trying to love the blue I painted the walls, but I am not so sure......
