Sneak Peak (wow that mirror looks dirty!!) |
STILL working on it and trying to decide how I feel about the blue I chose. It was a pale (far too pale) blue so I added some craft paint till it was dark enough. Now I wonder if it is too dark. But here is a sneak peak...if you look closely that's that tiny tot terror (my youngest) hiding in my blanket! Also including a picture of what the room looked like several months ago when I had a canopy bed in here. The room is ok sized but having a canopy bed made it look incredibly small!!
"Before" What was I thinking?! That is awful!! Linking up to http://www.remodelaholic.com/2010/12/remodelaholics-anonymous-50-blog-link.html and Smiling Sally for Blue Mondayhttp://smilingsally.blogspot.com/2010/12/blue-monday-flight-into-egypt.html |
Actually, Nicki, I love it ... it makes everything stand out.

I love the blue, it's very calming! Nice job, especially on a shoestring budget - I can relate!
ReplyDeletePretty! I love the french style of your bedroom. I'm on the fence about the shade of blue but it seems to be working for this room. Can't wait to see the whole room!
ReplyDeleteIt is always so exciting when the project you are working on is finished. Lovely peaceful room. Just what you need for a peaceful nights sleep.
ReplyDeleteI think your bedroom looks really tranquil and relaxing! Congrats on finishing it up on no budget! Traci
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get the full peek! I didn't even notice the little one in the bed until you pointed it out. I have a good vibe from what you have shown, it's going to be a stunning makeover on a budget.
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Lisa
What a deluxe bedroom you have.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Blue Monday post, hope you can drop by.. happy holidays.
I took the canopy top off of my bed too; I agree: it's too big for my taste.
ReplyDeleteYou've done quite a bit with a small budget.
I wish you a Happy Blue Monday and a Happy 2011, Nicki.
All you did looks beautiful and on a strict budget too. Great job.
