Ikea Ektorp, Restoration Hardware, and New Kitteh

Like the title? Yep, I'm a little random as usual
Sitting here this evening realizing that I haven't shared some of the best new things I have brought home over the course of the summer! I took some pics with my phone {and had some help from Instagram on some!} I can not stress how much I am looking forward to getting a new camera, it's been months now since mine broke.

So anyways I found an Ikea Ektorp sofa on Craigslist for.....drumroll please.....$25. Seriously!!
{insert the happy dance here}
I adored the old sofa that was in there but truly it wasn't the best choice for a house with 3 kids and two cats, so I sold it for $100.
Now before you go saying all this white is also not the best choice, let me tell you I LOVE IT and IT'S EASY. It's all washable/bleachable.
I also found two new rolls of this lovely black and white Waverly wall paper that I have been trying to decide what I am going to use it for at a yard sale for $5 each.
I stuck it behind the fireplace {yes, that is also new from a yard sale for $50, I sold the old one for $100}to see what it would look like. I'm rather fond but really like it behind the sofa too!

I also bought {several months back now} these chairs from Restoration Hardware.
No photos of them in the dining room have been taken yet, mainly because I am still playing musical tables in there!! Here is a sneak peek of what I have started though.
And then there is my kitteh boy. I brought him home from a market. He was just too cute and he was free and our other cat really needed a friend.

Be prewarned....multiple cat photos to follow.......
Here he thinks he is a people in my sons bed, all tucked in!
 Sleepy Kitteh!
 Sitting in a chair....
Doesn't he look so cute and innocent? Turns out he is a tiny terror kitten. But oh so cute....

This is his evil look. Lol!

  1. I guess I did well because we just sold an Ikea Ektorp sofa bed for $125. It had blue/white stripe slipcovers and red corduroy. I miss it already, but we needed to turn the room it was in back into a bedroom.

    Great finds.

  6. Kitteh boy is delightful. You can see a little impishness in him. He will make a great photo accessory! Especially on the beautiful sofa.

  8. Wow, that Ektorp sofa was a steal!!! My sis bought one brand new and she said the slip cover was very difficult to put on because it was so very tight. Yours does not appear to be as tight as hers is. I wonder why. That is my favourite sofa, and if I ever need another one I will purchase the Ektorp. Your fireplace is very nice, and the wallpaper is beautiful.
