Orange and Purple Wedding

So here is where I am at, I STILL don't have a camera
{other than the one on my phone that takes less than fantastic quality pics} and we are having a busy busy summer.......

But I feel like I am totally neglecting my blog and my faithful {and totally wonderful} readers/friends.

This Saturday I am traveling to Illinois to help rescue the wedding of a very good friend. Let me tell you...this has been one of those anything that can go wrong will absolutely go wrong kind of weddings. She {like me} is on pretty much a $0 budget and wanted just a simple outdoor wedding with a purple and orange whimsical theme.

Sounds easy enough right?
Two weeks before cue the everything going wrong part......without going into full detail, I am taking the tables, chairs, and tents. We spent three days crafting pin wheels, and I have spent a few more days crafting paper flowers for the arch, flower seeds packets as the wedding favors, printing up black and white engagement photos for their table background
I am making the wedding cake and the grooms cake, and pulled pork.

I am telling you, everyone just bailed from their responsibilities!!
But I  feel like I have it under control and am so excited for her. {Pretty sure with as much as has gone wrong thus far though that I am going to have to follow her around the day of with a bottle of champagne to keep her nerves calm!}

Here are some of the pins I have found that I am using as inspiration.

I like the top one most, but she is a fun and funky kind of girl and wanted pops of orange!
