Decorating The Darlin

I found these awesome vintage blue melamine cups at the Goodwill Outlet tonight. It was so funny, I went in telling my husband "I really want to find some of that vintage plastic ware for the camper that matches" and low and behold there it was!

Another gal came up to me while in there with a couple more that she had found since she had seen me grabbing them up. I whipped out the phone and was showing her pictures of the Darlin. I am like a proud parent forcing strangers to look at photos of my baby.

P.S. I joined the Instagram sensation. Top photo has been "Instagrammed" You can find me under vintagefarmhouse.
Here is a photo that has the natural color.
   {Please excuse the less than awesome quality phone pics}
I also picked up a plastic basket to put all of my goodies in, some silver glitter ornaments, vintage pink ribbon, and silver tinsel tree all for $3.40.

I bought this chandelier back when I did my very first market in July 2011 for only $20 and have been saving it for the right spot. I think it will be perfect in the camper. I am going to take off the wire and probably add beaded chain. Oooo I know just what beads to use to. I have these fabulous aqua vintage faceted beads I have been hoarding away for 10 years now, just waiting for the right thing to use them on!
I've barely got a primer coat inside and am already picking out wallpapers to use. I love the blue flocked paper {also found at the Goodwill Outlet. I love that place and so does my budget}

But I think the Jeanne D'arc gift wrap also will fit in well. I know I do a lot of white in my house and the camper will be mainly white...put I am definitnely going for pops of pretty pastels in here. It's a whole new canvas for me to play with!

  2. OMG I love that chandelier. I'm looking for something ridiculously fancy/pretty and crystal-y for my front PORCH. LOL I cover it in pots of flowers every spring with a darling cafe table, some wicker furniture and a highly distressed broyhill table and I'm dying to hang a gorgeous chandy above my table now that I have an electrical outlet out there. I'm certain my neighbors will think I'm ridiculous but I don't care. So jealous of your beauty.

Perfect color cups, perfect beads to remake the chandelier with, perfect wall paper - sounds great to me! This will be such a fun project and I hope that you plan to take pics as you go! What a fun adventure to start the new year! Hugs, Leena
