New Chandelier

The chandelier that was in my dining room was gorgeous, but alas it was plastic, not the real deal, as I was unable to afford the real deal that was all crystal.

Then one day an arm just snapped mysteriously, and was left hanging like that for about a year.

We did really REALLY well in Springfield, so I decided to take a little money as a gift to myself and find a replacement chandelier.

After less than  two weeks of watching Craigslist I found this beauty. It was listed for $160 and in the same town I live in! So I texted them asking what their bottom price would be if I ran right over there yesterday evening, and she said $130....
Ummm Yes please!!

The ceiling medallion has been sitting around for two years waiting for the right place and my ex husband got up on the ladder this morning and hung it all up for me.

Woohooo!

  12. oh my, good glorious loveliness! For the most part, all I ever see on CL is overpriced ugly particle board furniture. If there is beauty like this to be had, me thinks I'll have to shop there more often!
It's beautiful, and totally perfect with your sparkly chandy ♥

  17. Ha! had a chuckle over the ex-husband factor....so funny. Only because, yes! I had an ex-wife living under my roof once (with her then husband)...long story! Didn't turn out so great for us...
    but STILL LAUGHABLE!

oh, and the chandy is so pretty!
I don't recall ever seeing a broken chandy in your photos...you must edit really well. I like this one, and the price!

  22. I am enjoying your blog today and think that your new chandy looks great. Perfect with the medallion. You must have a good relationship with the ex for him to put it up for you.
