I picked up this little French Provincial end table/night stand this weekend. It came to me covered in cigarette burns and other yuck, but a little paint, some light distressing, and antiquing glaze, and it's all handsome now. I say handsome for a reason.....do you ever get a feeling that a piece of furniture has more of a male or female "vibe"? This one feels masculine to me.
Photo above is what it looked like when I bought it.
Ahhhh the power of paint!
This will be going with me to one of the markets I will have a booth space in soon. {Not entirely decided which one yet, but probably Springfield Ohio} Click the link one the left hand side of the page for Event schedule.
Also I am suuuuuper excited about a new market opening up locally!!
I'll be posting more information on it soon, but in the meantime if you are interested in being a vendor contact Jon @ 317-431-0118
Spring/Summer Market season has finally hit!!

A handsome little fella indeed! Great makeover! Hugs, Lisa
ReplyDeleteI love how you paint things "white." My friends have teased me relentlessly when we've shopped salage/second hand and I always say "paint it white." But it is true - white transfors beautifully - like your nightstand/table. :-)
