The McNugget's

These days our McNugget's look more like McChicken's.

We have three that are now laying eggs on a daily basis. They are around five months old.
We nicknamed my six year old son the chicken whisperer.

His chickens LOVE him.
His favorite chicken, he named Chick-Chick, is a cuddler. She enjoys being held in the crook of his arm and snuggled with.

We also found out that chickens like cars. They try to jump in anyone's car if it is in the driveway with a door {or window} open.

When they first came home

We moved the bench but they still spy on me at the kitchen window every time I am cooking.

Everyone was very concerned about our cat trying to eat them.......
After seeing the girls corner the cat and send him running for his life, I am not so worried.
Poor cat is terrified!

He will hide out in the garage and yowl till his humans rescue him from the big bad chickens.

  1. Nikki, I'm moving in with you... That was the only thing I ever wanted to have in my yard...

  2. Pattie, you can't have the spare room, since it is going to be my craft space...but I think there may be room in the garage once we remodel it!

  4. My kids love their chickens too! Get ready for more though. We started with ten about 18 months ago and now have over 250! They are pretty addictive. :)

  6. I had no idea that chickens would/could want to "cuddle"? How cool is it to have a chicken whisperer! *winks* Vanna

  7. How did I miss this post?!?!! I will testify that those chickens love going bye-bye in the car! I made the mistake of leaving my door open when I was loading my car at one of Nicki's garage sales!
