Have We All Gone Mad?

Yes it's hot out...I know all too well that it is hot out. I'm desperate {like a lot of you} to feel cool air...but isn't it a little early for Christmas???

I went to Michaels last week and they are already setting up Holiday decor!

I find this a bit mad....and honestly a little appealing!

It's soooo hot, that in a weird way, seeing all the Christmas decor popping up already is nice. It conjures thoughts of cool weather and snow and for a moment {just a moment mind you, since all I have to do is step outside the door into the sweltering heat to be slammed right back into reality} it almost feels cool and wintery.

Even all you crazy and wonderful Pinterest happy people are pinning away images.
So if you are dying for some cooler air, enjoy these images while eating a Popsicle {or stick your head in the freezer for a moment.....not gonna lie...I've done that more than once today}

  3. STOP IT ALREADY! Yes it's so hot out it takes my breath away, and so humid my face looks greasy and my hair looks stringy, but I AM NOT READY FOR WINTER, SNOW, ICE, COLD OR CHRISTMAS! It took too long for Spring to get here. I am not going to complain about this heat either! yet...

  5. Beautiful pictures! I especially love the pink ornament on the silver tree...lovely! The heat is definitely oppressive but I'm not ready for winter, especially not Christmas. I am however looking forward to autumn.

  6. I totally think it's crazy to have Christmas decor out in the store!!! Same thing happened when I walked in to Hobby Lobby last week. Although......usually in July I want to decorate for Christmas. No hustle and bustle, no rush, no gifts to buy. Just decorating....without a time limit!!!

  7. I just don't like planning that far in advance, I guess. Your photos that you've shared are very inspirational, and I hope you re-post them in November, LOL! ;P

  10. Some very pretty images here. But frankly in spite of the heat wave we just went through, with maybe more hot, hot days to come, I'm not ready for winter yet. Here in ND we've had 3 very tough winters in a row and very looooonnng ones too. Summertime is a blessing for me :-)

  11. That is nuts! Was the halloween decor out too? We haven't even gotten to labor day for pete's sakes! Lovely pictures by the way...but tell me, how are they gonna walk up those stairs without popping some of those ornaments?

  13. I do not want to be thinking of the holidays in the middle of a heat wave! LOL Hotter than blazes here, too. I'd love to be able to get to Zionsville for your sale- will let you know if I can make it. ~ Sue

  14. I agree, Christmas in July can be quite refreshing and take us to cooler thoughts on the canvas of our imaginations. I've often needed that here in the Arizona Desert where temps can exceed the Surface Of The Sun and triple digits that can and often do exceed 110 are "Normal" here... But I have heard the rest of the Country, not used to such brutal heat, is enduring equally debilitating temps... so break out the Christmas Decor, stick your head in the freezer for a few moments... and try to forget your shoes are melting into the asphalt when you go outside!? *LOL*
