Last Birthday Party Post!!!

My 30th Birthday was Friday (yes I was an April Fools Day Baby)

As most of you know from alllll the previous posts leading up to the party, I had grand plans, since it had been years and years since my last birthday party.

So here at last are some of the final pictures of the party set up!!

Due to lack of funds I made most of the decor from things I had, and I am pretty darn proud of myself!
I had an awesome party with great food and friends!

I printed Marie out, glittered her up and stuck her on toothpicks for the cupcake toppers. I made the gum paste flowers. The icing is a from scratch butter cream. I used box mix for the cupcakes. Seriously, I had already done so much, there was no way I was going to make cupcakes from scratch!

The cake toppers also were printed out and glittered by me. My one "splurge" was the edible wafer butterflies from Etsy shop Sugar Robot
They were amazing!!!!!
I used my collection of vintage cake stands to display everything.
The Eiffel Tower bottles with flowers in them were found at the thrift store for under $1 each.

More cupcake toppers I printed out.
 Pink & Grey Balloons
 Pretty plates and napkins!

 Pink and Grey "poofs"

Fringed streamers on the banister.
Meringue Nests (bought form Whole Foods) and filled with Lemon Curd and topped with strawberries.
The Eiffel Tower holding the French Macrons (made by yours truly) Tutorial on how I made the tower out of a cardboard box here>>Tower Tutorial
Marie Antoinette Mod Podged to votive cups holding Jordan Almonds. I found that Target sells the Jordan Almonds cheaper than anywhere else. I got a large box of the for around $4.
The gift bags

The crepe buttons that went in the gift bags (made by me and a hot glue gun!) Crown graphic from The Graphics Fairy
 Paris banner
 Wonderful Taffy's from Trader Joes

  13. Happy Belated Birthday! I can't believe I missed this post after following you for the entire preparations. Typical me, a day late and a dollar short! I think I was messing with ducks instead of blogging (blushing...I'm a ding-dong) Anyway, glad the party went well and happy 30th!
