Is a Room Ever Really "Done"?

Looking around the house, I realize there are only a few items I have held on to for more than a year!

I get bored, sell some items and use the money to pick up new things.

The vintage white chippy wrought iron bed I JUST bought a few months ago has been listed for sale and I picked up a Shabby Chic (Target line) Headboard at a yard sale for dirt cheap.

Which do you like better?

The "NEW"

The "Old"

I'm pretty partial to the Shabby Chic one, but it breaks my heart to get rid of the pretty iron one!

This is the new comforter from Homegoods.
Isn't it pretty? I can not get enough of ruffles right now!
I really really want to try to make a ruffled tablecloth.....yet another project on the back burner. If I ever finish the kitchen, my daughters room, the garage and several small projects!
I can't believe that this time last year my bedroom looked like this....
Holy Moly! What was I thinking?

It is always interesting isn't it ....pictures really highlight what is not working in a room!

  6. PS I like both headboards, but am partial to the iron one, even if the other one is a real shabby number.

  7. Well..I'm sort of having the same dilemna right now...My daughter is ready for a "big girl bed" and I can't decide whether to get a daybed, a twin bed with iron headboard, or like you have, the twin shabby chic one from Target. In your particular room, I think I like the shabby chic one best...I think because it's in front of a window...otherwise, I would probably like the iron one best :) they are both pretty though! Don'tcha just love having to make all of these tough decisions LOL

  15. Both are gorgeous but since you ASKED, I prefer the old headboard with the new bedding.

I love the open, airy, intricate feel of the old headboard, particularly in front of a window. Lovely.

  24. Both headboards are great! I love love love the iron headboard, but I think it gets lost in front of the window so I think the shabby headboard looks best.
