My latest piece I picked up last weekend. I don't even know which room I am going to keep it in, or if I want to paint and/or reupholster it yet. But it is one of those fun pieces that is hard to pass up!
The cat LOVES it. He thinks we bought it just for him. Which is not good when you have a yellow cat and black velvet fabric.
This was NOT a steal at $200, it was way way out of the price range I normally pay for furniture. But it was an early birthday present for myself.

Very pretty. $200 seems like a good price to me. I normally see them in the original wood and horsehair state though. Never seen one all fixed up. Great buy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a deal for $200! I actually thought you redid it before I read further, I would leave it in all it's silver and black glory!

ReplyDeleteSometimes I see things that I normally wouldn't pay that amount for, but this is lovely and I think it's great that you bought it. It's still a deal at $200. New ones begin around $700 and yours is just lovely with all that carving!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute and totally worth the money. I like the black fabric but could see it painted. Can't wait to see what you do with it! Nice find!
ReplyDelete$200 is a great price for such a beautiful piece and one that is in such great condition! What a great early birhtday gift. Found you through MMS. :)
