Frenchy Hand Poured Candles

This was my first time making candles....also my first time using water slide decals. In retrospect I should have trimmed the paper closer to the design. But it was a cheap project and it was fun! And I still have enough stuff left over to make dozens more and "perfect" my candle making skills! Total cost per candle was around a couple of cents (probably not even that much) Graphics from The Graphics Fairy
The French Script wording is from somewhere out there in cyber space (it escapes me where right now). The votives are vanilla scented. Yum!

  2. Love the candles. I am a beekeeper and just this year decided to melt down all of the beeswax I've been saving. I also found a votive candle mold at a garage sale for 25 cents! I have the wick, beeswax, and everything else needed to make candles. We're getting a snow storm so maybe I'll just stay in and do something warn and cozy like candlemaking! You've motivated me! Thank you.

  3. I've thought about bee keeping as a hobby. My husband is DEATHLY afraid of bees. Not allergic...just afraid! When I was little my dad would take us to this place out near Greenfield where an older gentlemen kept bees and made honey. He passed years and years ago but I can still remember the delicious honey!
That is so awesome that you have beeswax to work with! Good luck on your candles!
