Glittered Cherubs and A Chalkboard

I've been feeling crafty the last couple of days. It's too cold to do much of anything outside. I should probably be cleaning house but that just doesn't sound exciting! I've had these cute little cherub candle "huggers" for a couple of months. I got 6 of them new in the package for free, but they were kind of plain. I just can't leave well enough alone! Pulled out the glitter and got to work on them for Etsy. I also got out the silver platter from my outlet finds and painted it with chalkboard paint. One thing led to another and next thing I know I am on the floor surrounded by glitter and silverware. I am turning the silverware into magnets for the silver chalkboard platter.

  4. Hi Nicki,

I saw in an issue of Somerset where they painted one of those silver trays with chalkboard paint, so I bought one at a garage sale (tray that is) and had every intention of painting it. I already have the paint and then....I am not able to do it. What's my problem? I love it, but I guess I'm nervous about ruining it's value or something. I think it looks great! Yours actually looks nicer than what I saw in the mag! OK - I'm gonna do it....

PS - Did you know you can buy quart size cans of chalkboard paint at Lowe's. I like to paint terra cotta pots with it, put herbs in them, and write what they are on the side of the pot.
