Halloween & Picmonkey

Up until the last couple of months I rarely ever edited photos, just a bit of cropping and up they went.....
I must confess a new fascination with Picmonkey.
Seriously, I am pretty much addicted.
I really like how my photos of the Halloween decor around the house turned out.
Our big Halloween Party/Witches Ball is this weekend so I am sure I will have more to share later but here are a few I took the other day and edited.
I can't even pick a favorite. I love them all. It's just too fun what some effects can do for an ordinary photo!
Here is a photo of just a light editing so you can better see everything. I bought the black crinoline from another vendor at the IAVM. So excited since I am a chubby gal and it actually fits me! But for now Miss Form there in the corner can sport it around the house.

Oh and our yard, no photo editing here but I wanted to show it to you.
The skeleton in pieces, that's Fred. We have a lot of fun with Fred. When he first was purchased we put him in the shopping cart {like actually in the seat up front} and walked around the store like that for awhile. Then we would put wigs on him and drive around town with him in the passenger seat of the truck.
My sweet hubby cut up a bunch of old junk wood left over from projects into headstones and well the bad hand lettering is all me.

We used our garden fencing and the back piece is an old junk headboard. It says "Cemetary" on the other side....I mispelled it....whoooops! So I turned it around until I correct the mistake.
So that's that, our Halloween decor so far.
Can you tell we are kind of Halloween junkies?

  4. I love the cemetery!! What fun it is coming up with clever things to write on the headstones, right? You did a great job. And that owl on the mantle.. wherever did you find it? Love that along with all your other additions to make halloween such a fun holiday. By the way, I just signed up to become your newest follower! I would love it if you can find the time to visit my blog. Always love making new friends!!

  5. Love your cemetary! We have a skeleton like yours, only his name is Charlie. When my daughter first bought him (unbeknownst to me) she and other daughter put him sitting in our bed, with a pink hat, flip flops, and reading a magazine. I was shocked when I opened the door! LOL I have to admit, I did sit him at the dining room table, with a vintage hat, and a lacy schawl, and a crow on the shoulder. You can find the bedroom picture on my blog from last year. LOL I love the idea of putting him in the car with a wig! Too funny!!

  6. I'm pretty much addicted to Picmonkey, too! Isn't it fun?!?!? Your photos look great and I am particularly liking your little cemetery. Looks like a project that we should undertake at our cottage. And the skeleton could conceivably provide hours of entertainment. Thanks for the great idea!
