Cute Little Bags

I found these adorable little burlap pencil bags the other day, but they were sort of plain so I spruced them up. I had a bunch of vintage blue ticking left over from making lavender sachets so I cut it into strips and made rosettes.

They are meant to be pencil bags, but I was thinking they are cute enough for just about anything!

  15. I don't know where you found those little pencil bags but how cute are they? LOVING them. Do they have a zipper on top? You sure gave them a great pop with the fabric you used. Love that kind of thing, no matter what you make with it.
I bought some burlap the other day at Hobby Lobby and the lady measuring the burlap for me asked what's going on that burlap is in so much demand> Exactly. What can't you make with it? I told her about so many blogs I go on that burlap is used to make great decorating projects. She asked if I'd be interested in having a class making something with burlap. Sure I would.
Last week I found a coffee burlap bag at our local thrift store. I almost cried I was so happy and felt so fortunate to find it. Now I have to be willing to cut it to make some projects with. I want to just keep it intact but what good will it be that way? The coffee bag is a very different kind of burlap and the color is much darker, the weave much tighter.
