Horton's and A Question

Find me {The Vintage Farmhouse} inside just as you enter the front door.
Here is the link to their blog with info:

Soooo I was on the search for a large statement piece for the market and kept thinking I needed a large bird cage. I've seen so many neat displays done with bird cages but I wanted to do one on kind of an epic level.
I found this massive cage and went to work.
Keep in mind this is just a "progress" photo.
I have clips for the curtains and plan to hang the mirror, then put a small table inside and some other smalls.

But I am wondering, are the ruffles too much?
This is without the ruffles. I am completely on the fence about this one. I like the simplicity without, but I also like it with.

What would you do?

  14. It needs the ruffles!!! I know what you mean about simplicity--but white ruffles are pleasing to the eye and not visually cluttery. That's my opinion anyway!

  15. Well I like it without the ruffles, but it needs something at the bottom. What would it look like with the plain material just kind of sheered on the bottom. Not ruffles but just sheered...know what I mean?

  21. If you are going to do something this out-of-the-box then go for the ruffles.
