Front Porch

In the two plus years that we have lived here I have struggled with the front porch. I can decorate indoors all day long and love it all, but I struggle so much with outdoor spaces.
But today I am finally feeling like I have made some excellent progress on my front porch.
I got my ex husband to climb out on the roof and paint the trim, which was the biggest issue. I could not stand that awful orange color.

The swing, wicker chairs, antique wrought iron table, light fixture,  and garden urns were all trash finds. Free is always good!
I still need to plant some grass seed.
It's coming along though!

Oh and in case anyone is wondering about the double doors, the house is not nor has it ever been a double.

One is a "funeral door" and is original to the house, back when they had funerals in their homes.

  18. The porch is really beautiful now, you say the trim was orange? That is a travesty to put orange anywhere on a lovely old house like yours. I've never been here before to see your blog, I love your house!
