Another Spoon Project and Curb Shopping

I am still playing around with the metal stamps and old silverware.
It would probably help if I used clamps to get the letters strait the first time around, but really on this one I think it just adds to the look.

So my friend Geanie {JuJu} had a Facebook post where she mentions "Curb Shopping".

I LOVE that term....I call it a lot of things, dumpster diving, trash pickin, junkin, ect. But I really like the Curb Shopping best!
The other night I came home with a 1953 Military foot locker, yet another screen door, and these two wicker chairs.
And doors....at this rate, I will NEVER have to pay for a vintage or antique door. The village is an old down so most the stuff I get out of the trash there is pretty great. I have a collection of old doors, screen doors, awesome antique windows. All FREE!!
Now that Spring is in the air people are throwing a lot of stuff out when cleaning out their yards and garages.

Have you found anything good while "curb shopping"?

  4. I love what you are doing with the spoons and I think that the little slip gives it way more charm than it would have if it were perfect. You totally scored on your curb shopping ( I like that term too ). Have an incredible day, and if you find yourself with a little time to spare, come over for a visit, my welcome mat is always out. 6. There is never any curb shopping around here--or I am just not quick enough. I put a dryer on the street a few months ago "free-works" and it was gone within a minute. Went in the house--looked back out and no dryer:) Your curb finds are great!
