A Different Sofa

I couldn't pass her up...she was only $16.99 at the Goodwill Outlet.

Kind of ugly but with great bones and potential.

For now she is in the house with a ruffled duvet covering her. I originally was planning to paint her but now with the white duvet I am not so sure.

That's the fabric hiding underneath.....now you see why it is hiding!

I really think I love this sofa though.

What would you do with her?

  10. What a wonderful find! I could see this painted in Annie Sloan's "French Linen" and then upholstered in a cream fabric! It truly does have great bones!

  15. I love it! U know me ide probably opt to paint t. I would though, when budget allows, have it professionally re-upholstered. The sky is the limit on what u could do with it. $16.99 OMG, i gotta go visit Pattie soon.....Yalls goodwills are awesome! Makes u wonder though why people give away such wonderful things. Glad they do though, lol!

  17. I like what you have done with it. That ruffled duvet gives it a sense of style, and seeing the original arm rests keeps the old world charm!

  22. I just discovered your blog, so very nice! And I am IN LOVE with your new sofa. love the shape and style so european. I would recover the cushions and back in a soft burlap and paint the sides, trim, legs in a soft white or lighter cream shade, although it looks like the back cushion is attached so would need to see how to recover it, but it has great bones, what a deal! why can't I find stuff like that?
