Crown Pillow

Well here is the pillow I made that the iron leaked rust on. I had to put it through the wash a bunch of times with rust remover before it would finally come out. In the process it faded the iron on, but it adds to the charm I suppose!

For the pillow I used a heavy weight linen curtain panel from the thrift store for $1 (same curtain panel I used on the Ruffle Bag too)

The iron on transfer was printed out on my printer. (I actually got the brand new package of iron on transfers from the thrift store for about .50 cents!)

Crown graphic from The Graphics Fairy
The insert is a Pottery Barn Down pillow. (also the thrift store for $1!!!)

I'm getting spoiled on down inserts. I won't buy anything but down. I find them cheap at the thrift stores and run them through the wash with some bleach.

  6. Oh I love it!! I think the fading added even more charm! Well I'm feeling like a money wasting loser now because I bought a down pillow at the GW tonight and I paid $3.99....I thought I was doing so good too lol! I'm spoiled about pillows also. They need to be feathers or down. *winks* Vanna

  13. Yeah for the rust "spit" from the iron -- it looks fantastic faded like that! Isn't it grand when you get those kind of finds at the thrift store!?
