Should I?

Restoration Hardware
Restoration Hardware has these Factory Carts that seem to be all the rage right now. This particular one goes for $1,095.

Browsing Craigslist last night I saw these:

$75 each or 2 for $125

Now the industrial craze is really not my style but I do know a good deal when I see one. I can imagine these all restored.

For a brief moment I considered not e-mailing about them at all. Not my style, it's about 25 miles away from me, I have no use for them....the excuses go on and on.
But again...I know a good deal when I see one! So I did e-mail. I still have not heard back but I am hoping they are still available. For that price I will probably restore them, keep one for display in my "shop" (garage) and sell the other.

What do you think?

  1. It's not something I would buy..mostly because they have no purpose for me. However, if I knew I could turn a decent profit..I would buy them. I probably would even try to talk them lower before I bought..but that's just the kind of person I am..lol. Good luck..would love to see after pics if you pull the plug and buy.

  4. I would get the craigslist one and get a pallet and marry the two. You can stain the pallet to the color of your choice. Go! judy

  5. Please tell me you got them and brought them home already.

It's not my style either but believe it or not, we have some in the barn we actually USE. These are the BOMB for moving heavy things around with one-handed ease. So if you don't use them to decorate - you'll still find them USEFUL.

  10. OMG!!! I have one just like the top one, but mine has a handle like the bottom ones. I got it at a yard sale this past summer for $65.00, I think I might want to bring it in from my garden after seeing how much they go for.

NOTE: They are VERY HEAVY.. Go for it, just bring someone along to help load..

  14. They would be fantastic- you should definitely get them if they are available! I always think about if I should be able to re-sell if I want to for what I paid or more... I think you could on these. They are really unique!
