Bows,Tutus & More (Christmas Crafting Galore!)

I've been so busy I have not had the chance to blog nearly as much as I would like. Crazy me, I am even hand crafting the tags for gifts. Don't most people throw the tags away? But they are turning out sooo cute. I've been using a lot of random scrap and ribbon. Target has sheets of glitter paper, four to a package for $1. I love it!
My tiny tot terror is a Spongebob Queen so I ordered glitter yellow Tulle from Etsy ($5 and that included the shipping woohooo!!) and a Spongebob iron on embroidered patch from Ebay ($3 with shipping!! YES!!) Then bought a shirt from Wally World for $3. So far I have the tutu part done. My sister in law is a Tinker Bell freak so I bought Tinker Bell ribbon from Wally World ($3) and used ribbon and clips I had on hand to make a Tinker Bell tutu with matching hair clips for her one year old.
Then more clips and more ribbon to make several different hair clippies for both of my daughters. I still need to start on a few crafty things for my son. It's harder to craft for boys I think. Does anyone else have that problem?
I've also been making sugar cookies for our Christmas here at the house and for the hubby to take to work. I use the classic recipe from the Betty Crocker cook book. But instead of vanilla extract I add coconut extract. It just adds something special. It's not over powering with coconut flavor....but it's just the right touch.

  2. I know people just through out the tags on gifts but I still like to handcraft them from old Christmas cards! It's just so much more personal, I think.
