The other day I posted a photo of a stool that was a trash find, knowing it was about to get a make over.
I used some drywall paint and a stamp and distressed it a bit for a Shabby Chic/French feel.
This was the before...
Not bad for a totally free project!!

I absolutely LOVE this. You have great vision. Went totally from nondescript to WOW.
ReplyDeleteI love it Nicki !!! What kind of ink did
ReplyDeleteyou use ?
@Lori @ Katies Rose Cottage Designs
ReplyDeleteArchival Ink, it's fade resistant and waterproof. I bought it at michaels with a coupon so it was fairly inexpensive. I've been using it on everything including fabric!
It turned out great! Big difference between before and after. Love It!
ReplyDeleteDrywall paint? Cool. It turned out really awesome. I liked the original shot too because I could totally see something new out of it. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip on the inkstamper. What do you seal it with?
@Christine
ReplyDeleteI haven't sealed it yet, but I am probably just going to use some clear varnish.
I love the drywall paint! My dad gave me a 5 gallon bucket he didn't need and I have been using it on a lot of stuff. It kind of looks like some of the chalk paint projects I have seen but without the high cost!
It looks fabulous. I love it. Such a great idea. Hugs, Marty
