I don't know about you, but here at The Vintage Farmhouse we are already gearing up for Christmas.
The day after Halloween the grocery store was playing Christmas tunes and I found myself humming along before I realized how early it is still!
Despite the fact that the flooding in the basement this past Spring destroyed nearly all of my Christmas stash I find myself incredibly excited!! It's a new chance to try out a different style this year.
Since we are always broke and don't have the money to run out and buy new stuff I am working with what I have and enjoying it immensely!!
For the first time EVER I am incorporating pops of red. Not a lot, just little accents. Yet another thing I love about having an all white house.....whenever I go with some new style or colors it always works in fabulously.
Here is a sneak peek, it's kind of a more rustic vintage farmhouse feel, and I am looooving it!

ReplyDeleteI am working on Christmas, not because I am not thankful...(I love Thanksgiving). But we celebrate it all together...I am so excited that I just can't wait!

I am sorry that you lost much of your Christmas decorations, but how fun to create new traditions.
ReplyDeleteThis year I plan to do simple decor. t is the first time since 2002 that we will actually be home for Christmas. We usually are on a family vacation at Christmas and it is fun to think of new ideas.
